GFL Defense was built around execution—not theory, not advisory work, and not generic consulting.
The firm is led by Laurie Lanphear, a program manager with hands-on experience supporting defense programs where logistics coordination, documentation control, and follow-through matter more than slide decks. The work has consistently involved managing complexity across OEMs, program teams, and stakeholders—often in environments where timelines are tight and documentation requirements are unforgiving.
GFL Defense exists to provide practical program management and logistics execution support to prime contractors and OEMs when internal teams are overloaded, understaffed, or facing surge demands. The focus is on stepping into active programs, stabilizing execution, and keeping work moving—quietly and reliably.
Unlike large consulting firms, GFL Defense does not operate through layers of management. Engagements are led directly by an experienced PM who is accountable for day-to-day execution, coordination, and follow-up. This model allows prime teams to bring in support quickly, integrate it seamlessly, and avoid the overhead of onboarding full-time staff.
